==Life==
Antonina De Angelis was born in San Gregorio on 24 October 1880 as the first of eight children. In the afternoon of her birth date she was baptized. As a child, De Angelis had a passion for nature, and she worked each day in the fields near her home. Somewhat reserved, she decided to pursue her vocation.
She entered the congregation that was the Daughters of Our Lady of Mercy on 17 November 1904 and was granted the name of "Maria Ludovica". On 14 November 1907, exactly three years later, departed Italy for Buenos Aires in Argentina, setting forth via boat and arriving on 4 December. There, she decided to devote her time to whatever assignment she was given.
De Angelis worked in a children's hospital where she would provide meals for the children as well as the staff. She was later named as the manageress of the hospital and was known for her untiring devotion to all who were ill or needy. Always with a Rosary in her hand, she was known to be a gentle and determined woman. She also managed to procure financial assistance to help build operating rooms and to procure medical equipment.
De Angelis died in 1962 in La Plata.
